A Severe Thunderstorm watch has been issued for Lee, Scott and Wise counties in SW Virginia. Severe and tornado threat will decrease by mid morning. Storms will move across the area this morning. Some storms could be strong to severe, with the potential for damaging winds and large hail and a low chance of tornadoes. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday Strong and gusty winds are expected across much of the area for Wednesday and Thursday especially across the far east Tennessee mountains and foothills. Across the mountains and foothills, southerly winds of 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph are expected. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Spotter activation may be needed tonight and Monday.

Norton. Movement was east at 45 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.
