...THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING FOR NORTH CENTRAL HENDRY AND SOUTH
CENTRAL GLADES COUNTIES IS CANCELLED...

The storm which prompted the warning has weakened below severe
limits, and no longer poses an immediate threat to life or property.
Therefore, the warning has been cancelled.  However, gusty winds are
still possible with this thunderstorm.

...Summer Type Weather Pattern Will Continue Over South Florida...

.SHORT TERM...
(Rest of today through Thursday)

High pressure will remain over the Western Atlantic waters keeping
an east southeast wind flow over South Florida. This will allow
for the east and west coast sea breezes to develop and push inland
with the east coast sea breeze being the main sea breeze player.
At the same time some Saharan Dust will start to work into the
region Thursday afternoon. However, this Saharan Dust will not dry
the air out much. Therefore, showers and thunderstorms should
develop along the sea breezes and focus the the highest coverage
over the western areas of South Florida where they collide.

Lows tonight will be in the 70s over most areas except around 80
east coast metro areas. Highs on Thursday will be around 90 over
most areas, except mid to upper 80s over the east coast metro areas.
Heat indices will around 100 over most areas on Thursday.

This Weekend...
The Saharan Dust will continue to move through South Florida on
Friday and into Northern Florida this weekend as high pressure
remains over the Western Atlantic waters. This weather pattern
will keep an easterly wind flow over South Florida and allow for a
reduced coverage of the showers and thunderstorms. However,
scattered to numerous shower and thunderstorms will continue over
the region with the highest coverage over the western areas where
the sea breezes collide.

Highs will be in the lower to mid 90s over most areas each day
this weekend except around 90 east coast metro areas. Heat indices
will be in the 100 to 105 range over South Florida each day. Lows
each night will be in the 70s except around 80 over the east
coast metro areas.

Early To Middle Of Next Week... High pressure will remain over
the Western Atlantic waters keeping the east southeast wind flow
in place over South Florida. This will lead to the typical summer
time weather pattern with showers and thunderstorm developing
along the sea breezes each day. The best coverage will again be
over the interior and west coast metro areas.

Highs each day will remain in the lower to mid 90s except around
90 over the east coast metro areas. Heat indices will be in the
100 to 105 range over the region each day. Lows each night will be
in the 70s, except around 80 over the east coast metro areas.

The winds will remain easterly over most of the TAF sites through
tonight except for KAPF TAF site where winds will be westerly
through 00Z. Ceiling and Vis should remain in VFR conditions
through tonight, but could fall down into MVFR or even IFR
conditions with any showers or thunderstorms that do develop.

Issued at 2 PM EDT Wed Jun 11 2025

Winds will be mainly east southeast over the local waters of
South Florida with speeds of 10 to 15 knots. This will keep the
seas at 3 feet or less in the Atlantic and 2 feet or less in the
Gulf waters of South Florida through next week. Therefore, boating
conditions looks good this weekend into next week outside of any
showers or thunderstorms.

...A strong thunderstorm will impact portions of northeastern Hendry,
western Palm Beach and southwestern Glades Counties through 415 PM
EDT...

At 339 PM EDT, National Weather Service meteorologists were tracking
a strong thunderstorm near Moore Haven, moving west at 20 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts of 45 to 50 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Clewiston, Labelle, Moore Haven, Montura, Palmdale, Port La Belle,
Ortona, Harlem, and Lake Hicpochee.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

These winds can down small tree limbs and branches, and blow around
unsecured small objects. Seek shelter in a safe building until the
storm passes.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
