This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for the South Plains, Rolling
Plains, and the far Southern Texas Panhandle.

.DAY ONE...This afternoon and tonight.

A Tornado Watch is in effect through 10 PM for the South Plains, far
southern Texas Panhandle, and the central and northern South Plains.

Severe thunderstorms are expected to develop this afternoon
initially near the Texas-New Mexico state line and across portions
of the Rolling Plains. Storms will then expand in coverage across the
rest of the Caprock and move slowly southeastward across the entire
area this evening through tonight.

All severe hazards will be possible with these storms, including
very large or giant hail near softball size or larger, damaging wind
gusts up to 75 mph, and tornadoes. Heavy rainfall is also likely
within severe storms, and a threat for flash flooding will exist
from
late this afternoon through the overnight hours.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.

Daily chances for thunderstorms, including severe weather, will
continue each afternoon from Saturday through Wednesday. Heavy rain
and flooding are possible on Saturday.
