.SHORT TERM...
(Today through Wednesday)
Issued at 307 AM CST Tue Mar 4 2025

All headlines will remain as is. Timing and all variables associated
with this cold front that moves through today will also remain the
same. This system is starting to develop over west TX. The
developing front already has some strong winds with it as northerly
winds rush in behind the front over teh western panhandle this
morning. The strong storms developing along this front will begin to
race east this morning and should be moving into our area just after
noon. Some showers may move through just ahead of it by late
morning, but the main feature will remain on the same schedule that
has been set. All modes of severe wx will be on the table with this.
The fropa will clean the area tonight as it will move through rather
quickly. All locations will be clear by Wed morning, but it remain
breezy as strong high pressure moves in with cool dry air.

.LONG TERM...
(Wednesday night through Monday)
Issued at 307 AM CST Tue Mar 4 2025

As the sfc high moves in, winds will relax rather abruptly Wed night
into Thu. Winds will come around to a southerly flow by Fri and
begin to rise ahead of the next cold front that should impact the
area next weekend.

.AVIATION...
(18Z TAFS)
Issued at 1139 AM CST Tue Mar 4 2025

Low level wind shear of 50 to 60 knots in the lowest 2000 feet
associated with a strong low level jet across the area will be in
place for the next several hours as a potent storm system impacts
the region. In addition to the low level wind shear concerns, a
potent line of thunderstorms will impact the terminals between 22z
and 02z with intense winds potentially over 50 knots, lightning,
and IFR ceilings and visibilties. The impacts will be short-lived,
generally less than an hour, and TEMPO groups are in place to
reflect this risk. After 02z, rapid clearing will take place as a
very dry airmass begins to move into the area and all of the
terminals will be in VFR status by 06z. PG

.AVIATION...
(12Z TAFS)
Issued at 307 AM CST Tue Mar 4 2025

A mix of MVFR and VFR cigs will remain through much of the day.
These cigs will lower as a cold front moves through each site. Every
terminal will have cigs and vis lower to IFR or LIFR for a short
time as a line of +TSRA moves over each location today. This line of
storms will be timed in this taf pack. Conditions will go VFR from
west to east after sunset today. Winds will be quite strong from the
south today. These winds will shift to west with fropa.

&&

.MARINE...
Issued at 307 AM CST Tue Mar 4 2025

Strong southerly gales will start today ahead of a strong cold front
that will move through the coastal waters late today and tonight. A
line of storms will move through the northern gulf late today into
the night hours which will produce strong winds as well from
different directions. Winds will rapidly ease Thu as a sfc high
moves over the northern gulf. But this will be quick and the sfc
high will be east of the area late Thu bringing return flow back to
the coastal waters. Wind speeds will quickly move back up to around
20kt by Thu night into Fri.
