...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1015 PM CDT THIS 
EVENING FOR NORTHWESTERN HOLMES, SOUTHWESTERN CARROLL AND SOUTHERN 
LEFLORE COUNTIES...

At 832 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy 
rain across the warned area. Between 3.5 and 5 inches of rain have 
fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Radar.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
         highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
         drainage and low-lying areas.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Sidon, Cruger, Seven Pines, Black Hawk and Coila.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the 
dangers of flooding.

Through Tonight:

An upper-level low pressure system is in the process of cutting
off from the main steering flow overhead today. Light to moderate
rain south of Interstate 20 will gradually spread northward
overnight, and even this afternoon some scattered showers or
storms could develop on the northern periphery of the rain shield
for areas north of I-20. A developing surface low with this system
will pivot northward over southeast MS/southwest AL into the
morning hours tomorrow. Best rain chances will be focused in
southern/eastern zones late tonight as the low lifts into the
area. /NF/

Saturday through next Week

The long term period will be split between a wet and dry regime. The
period begins with persistent rain chances through the weekend into
early next week. Ample amounts of gulf moisture will serve to feed
the storm system producing rounds of heavy rainfall and
thunderstorms through this weekend with potential maximizing Sunday. A
marginal risk for severe weather will be possible Sunday afternoon
through early evening predominantly along the eastern half of CWA
with the main threats being isolated severe storms, damaging winds
and hail. It is worth noting flash flooding and river rises will be
possible during this time, our area has been indicated as an area of
concern through Sunday in the WPC excessive rainfall outlook. By
midweek the system will depart from the area leading way for ridging
across the area. This will signal the return to dry and warm weather
with temperatures being stark in contrast to this week. Temperatures
will warm into the lower 90s by Wed/Thu with the possibility for
some areas to reach heat criteria as previous days rainfall will aid
in high humidity values and in turn heat index values will near
product criteria.

Rain south of Interstate 20 to start the TAF period, with
rain chances and low stratus expanding north through the period.
MVFR to IFR conditions are expected to prevail by around 06Z
Saturday at all sites. Rain and BR will lead to periods of reduced
