Deep meridonal upper trough through the wrn US accentuated by 120+
knot upper jet streak will continue to dig south twd the US/Mexico
border through late Fri. This deep sys ejects out in west TX Sat and
accelerates newd through the OH valley late Sun. Composite outflow
reinforced cold front early this morning will stall out over the mid
MS valley today before retreating back north Fri in response to
upstream sfc wave development. This yields and increasing warm
advective pattern developing late Fri and again late Sat with
potential for two additional rounds of heavy rainfall in some areas.
Best model consensus is across southern zones and will hold with
areal extent of prior issued long duration flood watch yet
acknowledge potential exists for some nwwd creep in frontal
zone in later model runs.
In wake of this sys, sharp ern Canada upper trough dvlps/deepens
with at least 2 shortwaves progged to drop through the lakes, one
late Mon and the other toward Thu. Unseasonably cold temps Sun-Tue
will claw their way back up late next week.
