BLADEN...NORTHWESTERN COLUMBUS AND NORTHERN HORRY COUNTIES THROUGH
315 PM EDT...

At 229 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms capable of producing a landspout over Cherry Grove, or
15 miles west of Whiteville, moving northeast at 45 mph.

HAZARD...Landspouts and wind gusts up to 50 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Gusty winds
         could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured
         objects.

Locations impacted include...
Chadbourn, Smiths, Bladenboro, Howellsville, Bladen Community
College, Abbottsburg, Tolarsville, Cherry Grove, Butters, Boardman,
Dublin, Orrum, Clarkton, Barnesville, Tar Heel, Ruskin, White Lake,
Bladen County Hospital, White Oak, and Elizabethtown.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Conditions are favorable for the development of weak, brief funnel
clouds. This type of funnel cloud is harmless, but on rare occasions
they can briefly touch down, producing wind gusts over 50 mph. If a
funnel cloud is spotted move indoors and report your sighting to the
National Weather Service.
