and tidal waterways. For the Beach Hazards Statement, Strong
north to south longshore current. There is also a Moderate Risk
of rip currents.

Ridging high pressure looks to back off some retreating to the north
with low pressure along the stalled offshore front passes by. This
could allow some deeper moisture along the coast with low shower
chances primarily overnight and through Wednesday morning. As the
disturbance moves away mostly dry conditions will return through
Wednesday night. Otherwise, cool temperatures continue with more
clouds than sun.

.LONG TERM /THURSDAY THROUGH MONDAY/...
Mostly dry conditions with momentary increases in POPs (but still
<30%) based on how the stalled front offshore wavers with periodic
low pressure along it. Ridging high pressure from the north looks to
become more centered overhead into the weekend. Cool temperatures
continue.

.AVIATION /19Z MONDAY THROUGH SATURDAY/...
High confidence through 18Z Tue. Mainly VFR conditions expected as
surface high pressure remains the dominant weather feature. There is
a very small risk though of MVFR cigs pushing in from the NE Tue so
best chance will be at KILM. Otherwise, winds will be breezy at
times, gusting to around 20 kt (mainly near the coast).
Extended Outlook...High pressure from the north to settle in late
through mid week, bringing periodic restrictions from mainly low
stratus near the coast. Breezy NE winds could periodically gust to
20+ kt, mainly at the coastal terminals.

.MARINE...
Through Tuesday...High pressure to the north and low pressure
offshore will maintain a tight pressure gradient over the local
waters keeping winds/seas elevated into the Small Craft Advisory
range (25+ kt winds and 6+ ft seas).
Tuesday Night through Saturday...Weak low pressure along the stalled
offshore front will allow the PG to slacken some, SCA conditions
coming to an end Tuesday night. NE winds 10-15 kts will increase
once more to 15-20 kts on Thursday as high pressure ridges down from
the north more, increasing the PG once again. SCA conditions are
possible into the weekend primarily due to ~25 kt gusts and 6 ft
seas primarily on Saturday. Otherwise seas will be 2-4 ft.

.TIDES/COASTAL FLOODING...
The full moon and elevated northeast winds will keep tides higher
than normal into late week. Minor coastal flooding is expected along
the lower Cape Fear River during each high tide as well as along the
NE SC and SE NC coasts during each high tide Mon eve thru at least
Wed AM.
