Showers and a few thunderstorms this morning will become more widespread this afternoon and evening as a cold front and upper level trough start moving through the area. Gusty winds, small hail, and some heavy rain will be possible under the stronger storms and showers that form. This convection will weaken but will continue into the overnight hours. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday. Some lingering showers and a few storms will be possible along the Continental Divide Tuesday before dry air moves in for the rest of the week. The next chance for precipitation looks to be as we head into the weekend. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Spotter activation is not expected at this time.

At 251 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Dinosaur, or 29 miles east of Vernal, moving east at 15 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.

Dinosaur, Artesia, and Blue Mountain.
