This hazardous weather outlook is for Eastern Upper Michigan and
Northern Lower Michigan.

.DAY ONE...This afternoon and tonight.

Additional scattered thunderstorm development is expected through
at least mid-afternoon, especially over northeast Lower Michigan.
Any storms could produce strong, gusty winds, and the strongest
storms could produce large hail.

Outside of thunderstorms...gusty background winds are expected
across much of the area through the afternoon...gusting as high
as 35-40mph at times.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday.

No hazardous weather is expected at this time.

nearshore waters of Lake Huron, Lake Michigan and Lake Superior.

.DAY ONE...This afternoon and tonight.

Additional scattered thunderstorm development is expected through
at least mid-afternoon, especially over northeast Lower Michigan.
Any storms could produce strong, gusty winds, and the strongest
storms could produce large hail.

Sporadic gale force wind gusts are expected today on much of
northern Michigan's nearshore waters.

SOUTHEASTERN MONTMORENCY AND OSCODA COUNTIES THROUGH 1145 AM EDT...

At 1108 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Lovells to 8 miles east of Grayling to
near North Higgins Lake. Movement was east at 45 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Fairview, Luzerne, Mio, South Branch Township, Red Oak, Lockwood
Lake, Loud Township, Comins, Garland, Mack Lake, and Lewiston.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Afton. Movement was east at 40 mph.
