CENTRAL COLFAX COUNTIES UNTIL 445 PM MDT...

At 358 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 13
miles southwest of Capulin, or 20 miles southwest of Des Moines,
moving northeast at 10 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and nickel size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible.

            DELAYED REPORT: Albuquerque Fire Rescue
            received reports of a man in the arroyo near
            Carlisle Boulevard and Menaul Boulevard.
            Crews did not spot the man after one hour of
            searching at multiple locations searching
            the north diversion channel arroyo. An
            airboat was deployed by the Bernalillo
            County Fire Department later Thursday
            morning in the washout area at Roy Avenue
            and Fourth Street. No one was found. The
            individual is assumed to have deceased.

            *** 3 FATAL, 2 INJ ***
            DELAYED REPORT: 3 people, including 2
            children, died in floodwaters from
            catastrophic flash flooding on the South
            Fork burn scar. The 2 children, a 7 year old
            male and a 4 year old female, died after
            floodwaters engulfed and destroyed the
            family RV. The parents of these children
            suffered serious injuries and were
            hospitalized due to trying to save their
            children from the floodwaters. Two family
            dogs were also lost in the floodwaters.
            Additionally, a 40 to 50 year old male died
            after being swept downstream in the record
            high flood waters.
