THROUGH 400 PM MDT...

At 333 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm
producing very heavy rain near Coaldale, or 58 miles southwest of
Colorado Springs, moving east at 10 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and localized heavy rain.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Coaldale, Cotopaxi, and Howard.

producing very heavy rain near Texas Creek, or 49 miles southwest of
Colorado Springs, moving east at 15 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and locally heavy rain. Please be
         alert for rocks on highway 50 through the canyon.

producing very heavy rain over Air Force Academy, or 10 miles north
of Colorado Springs, moving northeast at 10 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail. Locally very
         heavy rain was also occurring with this storm.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

...STATIONARY THUNDERSTORM OVER SOUTHERN COLORADO SPRINGS
PRODUCING VERY HEAVY RAIN....

At 518 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
southwestern Colorado Springs. This thunderstorm was nearly
stationary and it was producing very heavy rain. Reports from
spotters indicate 0.6 to 1.2 inches of rain has fallen with this
storm over the last 45 minutes.

HAZARD...Localized very heavy rain over the southern half of the
         Colorado Springs region.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...localized flash flooding may develop.

Colorado Springs, Fountain, Truckton, Yoder, Ellicott, Stratmoor,
