There is also a period of strong to severe storms possible Tuesday through Wednesday. Locally heavy rainfall is also expected with the potential for localized flash flooding due to repeated rounds of rainfall. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... COUNTIES THROUGH 645 PM CDT...
At 600 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Coulterville, or 8 miles west of Pinckneyville, moving east at 20
mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Du Quoin, Pinckneyville, Tamaroa, Willisville, Cutler, and St. Johns.

a line extending from near Albers to 6 miles northeast of
Coulterville to near Ava. Movement was east at 25 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
