THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR EAST CENTRAL FLORIDA.

.DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT.

.THUNDERSTORM IMPACT...
Numerous showers and lightning storms will move quickly northwest
across the area through this afternoon, with multiple rounds of
showers and storms possible through the day. The primary storm
hazards today will be occasional to frequent lightning strikes,
wind gusts to 40 to 45 mph, and heavy downpours.

.EXCESSIVE RAINFALL IMPACT...
While storms will be fast moving today, any persistent bands or
repeated rounds of heavier showers and storms will be capable of
producing locally heavy rainfall of 2 to 4 inches. This may lead
to minor flooding of urban and poor drainage areas.

.EXCESSIVE HEAT IMPACT...
Peak heat index values may still reach around 102 to 107 degrees
through early this afternoon, but increasing coverage of showers,
storms and cloud cover through the day will bring relief to the
heat.

.RIP CURRENT AND SURF IMPACT...
A Moderate risk for life-threatening rip currents continues at all
central Florida Atlantic beaches today. Always swim near a
lifeguard, and never swim alone.

.WIND AND SEA IMPACT...
Poor to hazardous boating conditions will exist across the waters
today. South to southeast winds 15 to 20 knots will increase to
around 20 knots across the Brevard County and Treasure Coast
waters this afternoon, with a Small Craft Advisory going into
effect. The advisory will be expanded northward into the Volusia
County waters tonight as winds increase to 20 to 25 knots.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SUNDAY THROUGH FRIDAY.
Tropical Depression Four is forecast to lift north to northwest
over the eastern Gulf of Mexico, strengthening into a tropical
storm as it makes landfall around the Florida Big Bend area early
Monday morning. Higher coverage of outer rain bands from this
system will move northward across the area through this weekend,
with heavy rainfall being the primary threat at this time across
east central Florida. Generally, 2 to 4 inches of total rainfall
are forecast areawide with locally higher amounts of up to 6
inches possible through this weekend into early next week. In
addition to the heavy rainfall potential, a threat for wind gusts
to tropical storm force will be possible in the outer rain bands,
and a tornado or two can not be ruled out. Changes in the track
could bring additional impacts to the area. Continue to closely
monitor the forecast over the coming days for updates on this
system.

Conditions are favorable for the development of weak, brief funnel
clouds. On rare occasions they can briefly touch down, producing wind
