Hazardous Weather Outlook National Weather Service Lubbock TX 308 AM CDT Sat Nov 2 2024 TXZ021>044-030815- Parmer-Castro-Swisher-Briscoe-Hall-Childress-Bailey-Lamb-Hale-Floyd- Motley-Cottle-Cochran-Hockley-Lubbock-Crosby-Dickens-King-Yoakum- Terry-Lynn-Garza-Kent-Stonewall- 308 AM CDT Sat Nov 2 2024 This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for the South Plains, Rolling Plains, and the far Southern Texas Panhandle. .DAY ONE...Today and tonight. Numerous showers and thunderstorms are expected to move over the far southwestern Texas Panhandle and northern and western portions of the South Plains through the rest of this morning. Heavy rainfall and slow storm motion may result in flash flooding, and a Flash Flood Watch is in effect until 2 PM for this area. Additional showers and thunderstorms are possible over the remainder of the region later this afternoon through tonight. Some storms may be severe, especially over the southern South Plains and southern Rolling Plains. The primary hazard will be hail up to ping pong ball size and heavy rainfall resulting in localized flash flooding. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday. Showers and thunderstorms are expected to continue off the Caprock on Sunday. Some storms may become severe with large hail and damaging wind gusts possible. Chances for showers and thunderstorms return to the region on Thursday.
