...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHEASTERN RAPIDES AND
NORTHWESTERN AVOYELLES PARISHES THROUGH 530 PM CST...

At 458 PM CST, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Alexandria, moving northeast at 40 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor damage to vegetation and outdoor
         objects is possible.

Locations impacted include...
Alexandria, Pineville, Ball, Kingsville, Deville, Libuse, Tioga,
Esler Regional Airport, Kolin, Holloway, Paradise, and Woodworth.

This includes Interstate 49 between mile markers 73 and 89.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 700 PM CST for central
Louisiana.

Gardner, or 8 miles northeast of Hineston, moving northeast at 45
mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor damage to vegetation and outdoor
         objects is possible.
