North Carolina, western North Carolina and upstate South Carolina.

.DAY ONE...Tonight.

Scattered showers and thunderstorms will move east across the area
this evening into the early overnight hours. A few of these storms
could become severe and produce damaging wind gusts and hail. Brief,
heavy rainfall can occur with any storm.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday.

A tropical system is expected to strengthen in the Gulf of Mexico
on Wednesday and Thursday as it tracks northward. This system is
expected to impact the western Carolinas and northeast Georgia
Thursday and Friday, bringing gusty winds and heavy rainfall to the
area.
