...BLIZZARD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM AKST THIS
EVENING ALONG THE KUSKOKWIM DELTA COAST AND NUNIVAK ISLAND...

* WHAT...Blizzard conditions expected. Visibility reduced to one 
  quarter mile or less at times. Total snow accumulations of up 
  to 4 inches. East winds gusting 40 to 60 mph.

* WHERE...Kuskokwim Delta coast and Nunivak Island.

* WHEN...Until 6 PM AKST this evening.

* IMPACTS...Plan on difficult travel conditions. Widespread 
  blowing snow will produce white-out conditions at times.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Winds will strengthen through the morning.
  As soon as snow arrives this morning, conditions will rapidly 
  deteriorate. The worst conditions will be between 9am and 3pm. 
  Inland areas, including Bethel, may see a brief period of snow 
  and blowing snow midday, reducing visibility to as low as one 
  half mile. Temperatures will rise above freezing by evening 
  while snow will taper off, leading to significant improvement in
  visibility.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Blizzard Warning means severe winter weather conditions are
expected or occurring. Falling and blowing snow with strong winds
and poor visibilities are likely. This will lead to whiteout
conditions, making travel very hazardous. If you must travel,
have a winter survival kit with you.If you get stranded, stay
with your vehicle.

SUNDAY FROM SLEETMUTE TO CROOKED CREEK...

* WHAT...Snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 4 to 8 
  inches. Winds gusting as high as 45 mph.

* WHERE...Lower Kuskokwim Valley from Sleetmute to Crooked Creek,
  including the communities of Red Devil and Georgetown.

* WHEN...From noon today to noon AKST Sunday.

* IMPACTS...Plan on difficult travel conditions.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...A long duration of light to moderate snow
  is expected as a front stalls out over Southwest Alaska this
  weekend. Temperatures are expected to be near freezing, leading
  to wet and heavy snow. There is a chance that rain could mix
  with snow, which could lead to lower snow amounts.
