  from eastern Pinal and Pima counties eastward to the New 
  Mexico line. 

* TIMING...11 AM MST this morning until 8 PM MST this evening.

* WINDS...Southwest 20-foot winds 20 to 35 mph with gusts to 50 
  mph. Isolated higher gusts possible.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...7 to 11 percent.

* IMPACTS...Any fires that develop or are ongoing will have the 
  potential to spread rapidly.

* WINDS...Southwest 20-foot winds 20 to 35 mph with gusts to 50

Area Forecast Discussion

.SYNOPSIS...Warmer temperatures will prevail into Monday. Another
weather system will bringing strong gusty winds to the area Monday
and much cooler temperatures Tuesday into Wednesday.

&&

.DISCUSSION...The sky was clear across Arizona this morning with a
beautiful early April day on tap with highs right around normal.

Main forecast concern in the short term will be wind and fire
weather related on Monday. Strong gusty winds and very low
humidities are forecast for most of the area resulting in critical
fire weather conditions. See Fire Weather section for more
details. Wind advisory for the entire area has been hoisted also
for Monday.

Much cooler Tuesday and not as windy. Highs will run 15-23 degrees
colder than Monday. This colder air mass will result in a rather
cold early April morning Wednesday with the colder spots south and
east of Tucson in the 20s to lower 30s. Localized spots will be
near record lows for April 5th.

Warmer temperatures to close the work week into next weekend but
remaining below normal.

.AVIATION...Valid through 03/12Z.
SKC. Light terrain driven SFC winds thru 02/18z then bcmg W-NW
10-15 kts with ocnl gusts of 20-25 kts then diminishing to less
then 10 kts thru end of valid pd. Aviation discussion not updated
for TAF amendments.

.FIRE WEATHER...Near normal high temperatures continue today into
Monday with very low humidity levels as min RHs will be below 10
percent in the valleys and 10-15 percent over the mountains.
Another storm system is expected early this week with the main
impact being a combination of strong winds and very low humidity
levels on Monday, resulting in critical fire weather conditions.
Sustained 20-foot winds up to 35 mph are expected. A Fire Weather
watch is in effect Monday for SE Fire Weather Zone 150 along with
most of Zones 151 and 152. Cooler and slightly more humid
conditions will follow Tuesday into Wednesday but with lighter
winds.
