An NWS survey crew estimated damaging
straight-line winds ranging from generally
75 to 95 mph moved across the northern and
eastern sides of Winnsboro in a swath up to
725 yards wide and over 4 miles long just
before midnight. The wind swath downed many
hundreds of trees and also produced direct
and significant roof damage to a handful of
structures. One of these damaged structures
warranted a peak wind damage estimate up to
104 mph.

An NWS survey crew confirmed straight-line
wind damage on the northwestern outskirts of
Jacksonville TX, produced by a severe
supercell thunderstorm. The survey team
estimated winds generally between 70 and 90
mph in a wind swath up over 2000 yards wide
and around 2.5 miles long. Most of the
direct damage was to trees, although one
heavily damaged metal building system
garnered a peak wind estimate of 96 mph.
