This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for north central North Carolina,
northwest North Carolina, central Virginia, south central Virginia,
southwest Virginia, west central Virginia and southeast West
Virginia.

.DAY ONE...This afternoon and tonight.

Strong to severe thunderstorms are possible through this evening.
The main threat will be the heavy rain with potential for localized
flooding. Isolated damaging wind are also possible with the strongest
storms.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday.

Scattered severe thunderstorms are possible Monday afternoon and
evening. There is an elevated risk of damaging winds, and a limited
risk of large hail and isolated tornadoes. In addition, localized
flooding is possible.

a line extending from near Glasgow to near Hillsville. Movement was
east at 10 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.
