Anson, Montgomery, northern Richmond, southern Randolph, northeastern
Stanly and southwestern Chatham Counties through 1000 AM EDT...

At 906 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 12
miles west of Pinehurst, or 15 miles west of Southern Pines, moving
north at 15 mph.

HAZARD...Winds in excess of 40 mph, heavy rainfall.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Albemarle, Southern Pines, Troy, Carthage, Badin Lake, Pinehurst,

a line extending from near Bunn to near RDU International to 10 miles
west of Fuquay-Varina. Movement was northwest at 15 mph.

HAZARD...Winds in excess of 40 mph, heavy rainfall.
