The storm which prompted the warning has moved out of the area.
Therefore, the warning will be allowed to expire. However small

thunderstorm.

Area Forecast Discussion National Weather Service Mount Holly NJ 1025 AM EDT Tue Jul 4 2023 .SYNOPSIS... A cold front over the area will slide towards the Mid-Atlantic tonight through Wednesday before returning north as a warm front on Thursday. A cold front approaches on Friday and passes through the region Friday night. A series of disturbances will then pass through the region over the weekend and into the start of the new week. && .NEAR TERM /THROUGH TONIGHT/... Clouds will remain rather widespread today, but some breaks have started to develop and ceilings are slowly lifting. A slow moving short wave is already, as of 10 AM, starting to set off more showers and scattered tstms for ern PA, NJ and perhaps DE/ne MD too. Will keep the broadbrush pops for now in the high chc/low likely range favoring the North part of the CWA. The wind fields will decrease markedly today, so a rather limited chance for any severe storms, but the threat for heavy rains is again present for later today. Will be considering a flood watch, but given that areas which are most likely to see rain today mostly missed out yesterday, am currently leaning a bit against it. Humidity levels will remain high today but the clouds will probably hold temperatures a few degrees lower than Monday. Mostly mid/upper 80s are expected. Winds will be light favoring W/NW. Tonight, after the weak short wave passes offshore. Improving conditions are expected. Skies will become partly cloudy and some fog will probably develop where todays rains occur. Lows will hold in the mid/upper 60s for the Lehigh Valley, southern Poconos and north NJ. Lows will be in the low 70s elsewhere. && .SHORT TERM /WEDNESDAY THROUGH THURSDAY NIGHT/... Weak surface high pressure will be centered south and west of the area on Wednesday. Cold front will be south of Delmarva, over the Mid-Atlantic. A very warm and humid airmass will be over the area with highs in the upper 80s to around 90 with surface dew points in the upper 60s to around 70 on Wednesday. Some mid-level shortwave energy will pass through the region, and this may be enough to spark off some isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon. Warm and humid Wednesday night with lows in the upper 60s to low 70s. Patchy fog possible. That cold front over the Mid-Atlantic returns north as a warm front on Thursday. Winds take on a more southerly flow, and surface dew points will be a few degrees higher than Wednesday, generally in the upper 60s to low 70s. Highs on Thursday will also be a couple of degrees higher, mainly in the upper 80s to low 90s. Max heat index values on both Wednesday and Thursday will be in the low to mid 90s in southeast Pennsylvania and New Jersey, and in the mid and upper 90s in Delmarva. Again, some mid-level shortwave energy passes through the region on Thursday with isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon. Another warm and humid night on tap Thursday night along with patchy fog and lows in the upper 60s to low 70s. && .LONG TERM /FRIDAY THROUGH MONDAY/... A tropical airmass will be in place over the Northeast and Delmarva for the Long Term period with surface dew points generally in the 60s to low 70s. Meanwhile, a closed upper low will be parked over Hudson Bay. Several troughs and strong shortwaves will spin off this low, sparking off thunderstorm chances over the area. The first trough passes north of New York State on Friday, but it will drag a strong cold front through the Northeast Friday afternoon and evening. Showers become likely with a chance for thunderstorms in the far western zones by Friday afternoon, with chances elsewhere. Heat and humidity will be in place for convection, but there may not be enough upper level energy nor enough shear for widespread convection. Some strong shortwave energy will pass through the region over the weekend, potentially touching off afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms. Will follow NBM and keep chance PoPs. A stronger cold front may approach for Monday with some more widespread showers and thunderstorms. For now, will keep chance PoPs. After high temperatures approaching 90 in some spots on Friday, highs will generally be in the low to mid 80s over the weekend and into the start of the new week. && .AVIATION /14Z TUESDAY THROUGH SATURDAY/... The following discussion is for KPHL, KPNE, KTTN, KABE, KRDG, KILG, KMIV, KACY and surrounding areas. Rest of Today... A limited confid fcst overall. Slow improvement in CIGS/VSBYS with mixing late this morning, then a resumption of scattered showers and a few tstms already beginning and will continue thru afternoon. Best chances for Delaware Valley and NE. Still left in some VCSH for KABE/KRDG however. Light SW/W winds early then turning NW during the afternoon. Low confid. Tonight...
