For the Delaware River...including Tocks Island, Belvidere,
Easton-Phillipsburg, Riegelsville, Frenchtown, Stockton, New
Hope-Lambertville, Washington's Crossing, Trenton...Minor flooding
is forecast.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around...don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most
flood deaths occur in vehicles.
Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.
Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law
enforcement and request they pass this information to the National
Weather Service when you can do so safely.

closed. Unsafe to cross over to Treasure Island Scout Camp.
At 15.0 feet, Treasure Island Scout Camp floods.
At 18.0 feet, River Road floods in Pohatcong Township, north of
the bridge.
At 22.0 feet, Pohatcong Creek floods Creek Road due to high and
backwater from the Delaware River. The Musconetcong River also
floods Mount Joy Road due to high and backwater from the Delaware
River.

.SYNOPSIS...
Strong low pressure near the Canadian Maritimes will continue to
move away through today. High pressure will gradually build
over the Middle Atlantic this week then move offshore during the
weekend. A system may affect the area for the start of next
week.

.NEAR TERM /THROUGH TONIGHT/...
Only made minor tweaks to the forecast early this morning. Skies
have cleared for the most part, although another area of some
scattered to broken clouds are starting to pivot through the
Delmarva. Atmospheric profiles in these locations are deprived
of any low-level moisture, so not expecting anything more than
cloud cover to persist through the pre-dawn hours Tuesday. Any
cloud cover should exit the area by sunrise, giving way to
mostly clear skies to start the day...Previous discussion
remains as follows:
A colder but rather humid airmass circulating around the deep
storm well over Canada is rotating bands of low/mid level
clouds and occasional showers across NY and into Central PA. As
the upper trough crosses the region early this morning some
light rain/snow showers possible for the northern/western
areas. Temperatures are marginal for any snow accums, but the
higher elevations could (perhaps) pick up to a half-inch. Kept
the slight chc/small chc pops in the fcst with some minor areal
tweaks. The 18Z NAM seems to have picked up on the
dynamics/moisture across NE PA/North NJ. Lows mostly in the
upper 20s to mid 30s.

.SHORT TERM /WEDNESDAY THROUGH THURSDAY NIGHT/...
The midweek period will feature quiet, benign weather, with
generally clear skies and easing winds. Surface high pressure will
continue to build eastward and expand across the just about the
entire eastern half of the country for Wednesday. The result will be
a sunny, dry day with highs mainly in the 40s, and fairly light
winds. As mid and upper-level ridging builds in across the eastern
part of the country as well, warmer air will begin to push in aloft,
modifying temperatures and making for more stable atmospheric
conditions. Clear skies will continue into Wednesday night, setting
us up for another chilly night, but lows by Thursday morning will
tend a few degrees milder than the past night as the airmass
gradually modifies. Looking at mid to upper 20s with some low 30s.
High pressure at the surface and an upper ridge continue to build in
for Thursday. Should be another mostly sunny day with seasonable
temperatures in the low to mid 40s. Nighttime lows Thursday night
will hover in the low to mid 20s.

mostly SW-W around 10 to 12 kt. Isolated chance of a snow
shower at KABE, otherwise remaining dry at all terminals.

Tuesday...VFR expected. SW winds 10 to 15 kt early becoming
northwesterly 10 to 20 kt with gusts up to 25 kt. Moderate

Small Craft Advisory conditions will continue as winds diminish
and gradually become W around 15-20 kt with gusts up to 25 kt.
Seas likewise will gradually lower as well between 10-14 feet.
Outlook...
Wednesday...A Small Craft Advisory has been extended for the ocean
zones until 22z Wednesday as seas will be around 5-6 feet. Sub-
advisory conditions are expected on the Delaware Bay. Winds will be
out of the northwest around 10-15 kt.
Wednesday Night through Friday Night...The SCA may need to continue
until Friday Night at the latest as seas are currently forecast to
be right around 5 feet through then. Will take a look in future
updates to see if/how long the SCA will need to be extended. Winds
will be out of the north/northwest around 10-15 kt.
Saturday...No marine headlines expected. Seas look to finally relax,
but confidence remains low on that. East/northeast winds around 10
kt and seas 2 to 4 feet.

.HYDROLOGY...
Active Flood Warnings are in effect, please continue to monitor
information from Law Enforcement, local media, and heed any warnings
in effect. Avoid flooded roadways and when safely possible please
pass along flood reports to the NWS.

.TIDES/COASTAL FLOODING...
Looking at available tidal gauges in/around coastal Monmouth
and Ocean Counties, we have opted to extend the Coastal Flood
Advisory through 4 AM to account for the next high tide cycle
just after midnight tonight. This will mainly be for the back
bays of these counties for any water backed up in these areas.
After the early morning high tide cycle, water levels will
recede.
The Coastal Flood Advisory was also extended for Sussex County
(DE) as some minor flooding continues along the back bays. High
tide will occur early Tuesday morning, where then the water
levels should begin to recede.
