Showers and thunderstorms will become more widespread this
afternoon and evening ahead of an upper-level disturbance and cold
front. Some thunderstorms may become severe with the primary risk
being damaging winds and localized hail. There is a low risk of
tornadoes, mainly across far northern East Tennessee and
southwest Virginia.
