Tonight through Monday night:
North/south frontal band of rain has shifted off to the east with
some brief drying taking hold. Cold advection is underway as the
low level thermal trough becomes firmly entrenched across the area
for the next few days. We will remain in a strongly cyclonic
regime with embedded vort lobes pivoting around the main low
center and bringing rounds of showers, rain and snow to the area
right through Monday. Combined with the strengthening low to the
northeast we will see winds be on the upswing this period as well
making for rather raw and dismal conditions. Some light snow accums
are possible on grassy areas. Precipitation should wind down later
Monday evening as the low pulls a bit more to the east.

Tuesday:
We will still remain on the western periphery of the cyclonic
flow and lingering low level thermal trough so clouds may be slow
to clear out. It will still be a cool day with north/northwest
winds.
Tuesday night through Wednesday night:
Surface ridging works in with decent warm air advection setting
up. Things will be noticeably better in the temperature, cloud
cover and wind departments this period.
Thursday through Saturday:
Have just small rain chances at this point as an approaching
trough battles with the lingering potential dominance of the
surface high. Still some mixed signals on which one wins out but
certainly possible that any activity that tries to work in
encounters to much dry air, so for now the pops are low and no
mention of thunder.

West winds have picked up in the wake of a cold front. A brief
period of improved ceilings, though still MVFR has worked into SC
WI. Lingering IFR exiting the far east. So some drying has taken
hold for a time. However the pattern will continue unsettled over
the next couple days. Rain and snow showers will affect the area
in an off/on fashion right through Monday evening. MVFR cigs will
be persistent with some areas of IFR cigs as well.

Tuesday evening. Gusty northwest winds will strengthen Monday
