This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for eastern North Carolina.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

   Moderate Rip Current Risk.

Scattered showers and thunderstorms through the day will have the
potential to produce locally heavy rainfall, leading to possible
flooding in urban and typically vulnerable areas.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday.

A prolonged period of unsettled weather will continue Wednesday
through late this week. The main threat will be heavy rains with
flooding of low lying and poor drainage areas. Several inches of
rainfall are possible this week across eastern North Carolina.
Current projections have the heaviest rains falling from late Tuesday
through Thursday. Some minor river flooding may eventually become an
issue by the weekend.
