A stalled front was situated near a Clarksdale to Corinth line at
17z. There are a few showers invof the front across north MS.
These showers will dissipate this afternoon as upper level heights
rise across the region in response to the system moving out of
northern Mexico. Also, the stalled front will start lifting north
as a warm front late in the day. Highs will reach into the 70s
along and south of the front across north MS this afternoon while
areas along the KY/MO will struggle into the 60s. No major changes
to the forecast.

Mostly dry conditions will prevail over the Mid South today.
Record warmth will be in the forecast for Wednesday as
temperatures will climb into the 80s. A cold front will move
through the region on Wednesday bringing a shot for an isolated
strong storm. Warm and dry conditions are expected for Thursday.
Cooler weather will finally filter in on Friday followed by rain
chances for the weekend.

A quiet morning across the Mid South as we look forward to a
mostly dry day with temperatures in the 70. The bigger news will
be the potentially record breaking temperatures we will have on
Wednesday and the strong gradient winds. High temperatures on
Wednesday will climb into the 80s for a large portion of the area.
Records for Wednesday should be well in play for this run of heat.

We should be able to break these records on Wednesday. Now, back
to more impactful hazards with the forecast. A very dynamic system
will impact the region on Wednesday. The good news is that the
severe weather threat has greatly diminished for the local area.
Poor lapse rates, a lack of instability, and a more NW track has
allowed for the SPC to remove all mention of severe weather for
the Mid South. The kinematics of this system will still allow for
strong gradient winds to occur during the day. Winds of 20-30 mph
with gusts up to 45 mph will be possible on Wednesday. A Wind
Advisory will be needed on Wednesday for the area. As we get into
Wednesday evening we should still see a few showers and a thin
line of convection move through overnight. A mild and dry day is on
tap Thursday with near record highs possible again over much of
the area. A cold front will begin moving SE Thursday evening and
overnight. Friday looks much cooler with highs in the 40s and 50s.
The weekend looks fairly wet as guidance suggests that a warm
front sets up over the forecast area and serve focus for waves of
showers and storms for Saturday and Sunday. Temperatures will
roughly be in the 60s and 70s over the weekend. By Monday, another
front will move through to break the stalled front.

VFR conds will persist at all sites through the first half of
th period. A few lingering SHRAs will affect TUP in the short
term, before dissipating by late afternoon.

A strong low level jet will kick up tonight and affect MEM and
JBR overnight. Gusty surface winds will also begin overnight and
pick up in intensity through the end of the TAF period.
Additionally, MVFR CIGs will build in at all sites by tomorrow
morning. Scattered SHRAs and isolated TSRAs are possible tomorrow
afternoon, or just beyond this TAF set.
