This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for southeast New Mexico,
southwest Texas and western Texas.

.DAY ONE...This afternoon and tonight.

A Heat Advisory is in effect for most of West Texas and Southeast
New Mexico through early evening.

There is a slight risk of severe storms this afternoon and tonight,
mainly over the northern Permian Basin, Western Low Rolling Plains,
and northern Lea County. Any severe storms that do develop will be
accompanied by large hail and/or damaging winds.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday.

Heat Advisory in effect for much of West Texas and portions of
southeast New Mexico through the day and into Tuesday evening.

An Excessive Heat Warning in effect for the Davis, Guadalupe, and
Delaware Mountains for the afternoon and into Tuesday evening.

...A strong thunderstorm will impact portions of southwestern
Culberson County through 400 PM CDT...

At 309 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Van Horn, moving north at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Van Horn and Culberson County Airport.

This includes Interstate 10 between mile markers 136 and 151.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
