There is just a low chance that a storm or heavier shower will produce damaging wind gusts. Some ponding of water on roads is expected for the morning commute. Winds will gust 30 to 40 MPH initially from the south this morning. They will then switch to the west by this afternoon and possibly gust up to 45 MPH, especially south of Interstate 80. The heavy rain could lead to rises and flooding on area tributary rivers. River flood watches continue for portions of the Rock and Wapsipinicon Rivers. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...TUESDAY THROUGH SUNDAY A storm system may bring accumulating snow to the region Thursday night through Friday. It is too early to determine snow amounts and any potential impacts with this storm. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... There is just a low chance that spotter activation will be needed this morning.
