This hazardous weather outlook is for northeast and north central Colorado. .DAY ONE...Today and Tonight Showers and thunderstorms will develop this afternoon and continue through the evening. Some of the storms will produce heavy rain. The highest threat for flash flooding will be over Douglas, Elbert, and Lincoln counties, but there is some risk in the Denver metro area an in the northern foothills burn areas this afternoon. Stronger storms will be capable of producing up to 2 inches of rain in an hour. A couple severe storms will also be possible, mainly in areas south of a line from Limon to Kiowa, where there is potential for large and damaging hail up to golfball size. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday It will remain cool and unsettled on Saturday with a good chance of showers and thunderstorms. A few storms may also produce brief heavy rainfall and localized flooding, especially along and south of the Palmer Divide. A drier and summer-like weather pattern is then expected to arrive Sunday and continue into early next week. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Wilkerson Pass, or 45 miles west of Colorado Springs, moving north at
20 mph.
HAZARD...Winds in excess of 40 mph and penny size hail. Heavy rain
and minor flooding is also possible with this storm.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible.

At 219 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 8
miles northwest of Ramah, or 29 miles west of Limon, moving east at
20 mph.
HAZARD...Landspouts possible, winds in excess of 40 mph, and half
inch hail. Expect very heavy rain with minor flooding of
creeks and low lying areas.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Landspout tornadoes can damage mobile homes, roofs,
vehicles, and trees. Outdoor objects may be tossed about.
Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
