This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for central New York and
northeast Pennsylvania.

.DAY ONE...This afternoon and tonight.

A slow moving cold front has set off showers and thunderstorms that
will end late this afternoon and early evening. Heavy rain could
cause isolated urban and flash flooding. Thunderstorms with damaging
wind gusts are also possible.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.

Another round of locally heavy rainfall and thunderstorms is
expected to impact the area on Sunday, with a slight risk for flash
flooding.

County through 400 PM EDT...

At 313 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Cooperstown, moving northeast at 15 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Middlefield, Cooperstown, Springfield, Cherry Valley, Bowerstown,
Oaksville, Index, Toddsville, Glimmerglass State Park and East
Springfield.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Heavy rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to

At 332 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Edmeston, or 12 miles west of Cooperstown, moving northeast at 25
mph.

HAZARD...Winds in excess of 30 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Cooperstown, Edmeston, Burlington, Exeter Center, South Brookfield
and Oaksville.

Chenango Forks, or 8 miles east of Greater Binghamton Airport, moving
east at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Sanford, Coventry, Bainbridge, Afton, Harpursville, Sanitaria
Springs, Nineveh, Chenango Forks, Chenango Valley State Park and Port
Crane.
