Warm and humid conditions are expected Thursday and Friday with heat
index values rising into the mid to upper 90s in the afternoons.

Cortland and northwestern Chenango Counties through 1215 PM EDT...

At 1147 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Smithville Flats, or 13 miles east of Marathon, moving northeast at
25 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Oxford, Preston, Willet, Pharsalia, German, Smithville Flats, Mc

At 1202 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Callicoon, or 16 miles west of Liberty, moving northeast at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.

         possible.

At 1224 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Norwich, moving east at 20 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and penny size hail.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
         possible.

Madison, northeastern Delaware and northeastern Chenango Counties
through 100 PM EDT...

At 1237 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from South Brookfield to near Elk Creek to near
Bovina Center. Movement was northeast at 55 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Oneonta, Delhi, Davenport, Roxbury, Worcester, Middlefield, Hartwick,
