.SYNOPSIS...A strong increase in moisture will bring increasing
thunderstorm chances over the next several days. Some storms will
generate strong erratic winds and locally heavy rain.

&&

.DISCUSSION...Extensive cloud cover with isolated showers and a few
thunderstorms early this morning had delayed the surface heating
needed for the redevelopment of activity this afternoon. However,
recent satellite imagery was showing some promising breaks in this
cloudiness which should help trigger more showers and thunderstorms
through tonight. Thereafter, models were in good agreement with
shifting the low pressure trough to our west today a little farther
east on Sunday which will focus the best chance of showers and
thunderstorms just east and southeast of the greater Tucson area.
Residual moisture will keep the chance of showers and thunderstorms
in the forecast next week, mainly during the afternoon and evening
hours. After a lull in the activity on Monday, models favored an
upswing in the areal coverage of showers and thunderstorms Tuesday
into next weekend. Thanks to more cloudiness and rain chances, high
temperatures will hover near normal readings through at least
Tuesday before gradually warming the remainder of the week.

.AVIATION...Valid through 20/00Z.
SFC winds will be out of the S/SW 7-12 kts outside of thunderstorms.
TSRA/SHRA chances increase through tonight before diminishing in
areal coverage Sunday morning. Thereafter, redevelopment of
TSRA/SHRA can be anticipated Sunday afternoon with most of the
activity confined east and south of KTUS. Cloud decks will be
SCT/BKN 10k ft AGL, lowering in/around showers/storms to FEW/SCT 3k-
6k ft AGL with brief MFR conditions possible. Erratic wind gusts in
excess of 40kts possible with storms and outflows. Aviation
discussion not updated for TAF amendments.

.FIRE WEATHER...An anomalously early moisture surge will bring
increasing chances for thunderstorms over the next several days.
Will see the most widespread rain chances across much of the area
through early Sunday. Best storm chances will shift primarily south
and east of the Tucson Metro next week. Strong outflow winds with
storms and even with heavier showers could lead to erratic fire
behavior.

At 202 PM MST, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Picacho, or 20 miles southeast of Casa Grande, moving north at 25
mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Blowing dust may reduce visibility
         down to 1 mile. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible.

thunderstorms over Avra Valley, or 10 miles west of Marana, moving
northeast at 10 mph. Locally heavy rainfall can impact Interstate 10
between Marana and Eloy.

HAZARD...Winds in excess of 40 mph and pea size hail.
