SOUTHWESTERN FISHER COUNTY...
    
At 840 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
was located near Busby, or near Longworth, moving east at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Tornado and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
         shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage 
         to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree damage is 
         likely.

This dangerous storm will be near...
  Roby and Longworth around 845 PM CDT.

Other locations impacted by this tornadic thunderstorm include Busby,
Capitola and Gannon.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest
floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a
mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter

At 848 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
was located over Longworth, moving east at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Tornado and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

         shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage 
         to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree damage is 
         likely.

south central Fisher County, including the following locations...

Main concern will be severe thunderstorms with the possibility of
very large hail this evening.

A warm front moving northward across the Concho Valley has
increased low level moisture across the area. Light rain showers
continue across the hill country and Edwards Plateau. The main
line of storms is beginning to develop across the western Permian
Basin and far west Texas, with a Tornado Watch in effect for the
western counties. Expect this line to increase in intensity and
coverage this afternoon and reach the western counties this
evening, around 7 pm or later. Storms should continue overnight as
a QLCS/squall line with large hail and damaging winds as the main
threats. Cannot rule out a few tornadoes,as well. Storms should
continue in the eastern counties early tomorrow morning....moving
east out of the area by afternoon.

.LONG TERM...
(Monday night through next Saturday)
Issued at 329 PM CDT Sun May 1 2022

By Monday evening, any storms that develop Monday afternoon in
our southeastern counties are expected to be east of our area, so
will keep a dry forecast going Monday night.

A cold front will follow the precipitation chances, and move
south to near a Sterling City to Brownwood line. Highs will be in
the mid 70s to lower 80s north of the front, and in the mid 80s to
potentially mid 90s south of the front. There may be a few
showers or thunderstorms along or south of the front during the
afternoon or evening.

Wednesday still appears to be the next potentially active day
with severe weather possible. An upper level low will move out of
the northern/central Rockies, with a trailing shortwave trough
moving over our area during the afternoon/evening. A dryline is
expected to set up just west of our area that should provide a
focus for afternoon/evening thunderstorms to develop off of, then
move east, similar to tonight's situation. Large hail, and
damaging wind gusts would be the main concerns, but isolated
tornadoes cannot be ruled out either. Late Wednesday night into
Thursday morning, a cold front will move through which could
provide a secondary chance for showers and thunderstorms, so have
kept the Chance PoPs going for much of the area through Thursday.

Dry weather, with a pronounced warm-up is expected from Friday
into next weekend. Temperatures will approach 100 degrees on
Saturday and Sunday.

Currently seeing VFR conditions across the terminals. Scattered
showers and thunderstorms will be possible later this evening,
some possibly severe. Will include TEMPO groups across the
terminals this evening, with the best timing for convection
between 02Z and 05Z. Will amend as necessary through the evening
hours. Overnight, expect another round of stratus to develop after
09Z and persist through the morning hours, before scattering out
to VFR. Gusty southwest winds will develop after 15Z and continue
through the afternoon hours.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of west central
Texas.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

There is an enhanced risk for severe thunderstorms for this
afternoon and into the overnight hours generally north and west of
an Ozona to San Angelo to Albany line with a slight risk for
severe storms covering the rest of the area. As the warm front
lifts north, scattered severe storms may develop this afternoon
where all hazards will be possible but the primary hazard will be large
to very large (2+ inch) hail. A second area of storms will
develop off of a dryline in West Texas and move into the West
Central Texas area by this evening. Again all hazards will be
possible with the threat of large hail and damaging winds acting
as the primary hazards with this batch. Some heavy rainfall with
this second area of storms may also cause localized flooding.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday

Another round of severe storms will be possible Wednesday into
Thursday

Spotter activation will likely be needed this afternoon and

northeastern Tom Green and southwestern Runnels Counties through 800
PM CDT...

At 735 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
O.c. Fisher Reservoir, moving northeast at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Winds in excess of 40 mph and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
San Angelo, Miles, Orient, San Angelo State Park, O.c. Fisher
Reservoir, Lake Nasworthy, Harriet, Tennyson, Grape Creek and
Goodfellow Air Force Base.
