...A TORNADO WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 815 PM EDT FOR CENTRAL
GREENE...SOUTHWESTERN FAYETTE AND NORTHWESTERN MONONGALIA COUNTIES...
        
At 800 PM EDT, a confirmed tornado was located near Waynesburg,
moving southeast at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Damaging tornado and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Radar confirmed tornado.

IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
         shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage 
         to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree damage is 
         likely.

This tornadic thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of
central Greene, southwestern Fayette and northwestern Monongalia
Counties, including the following locations... Spraggs and Mount
Morris.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

To repeat, a tornado is on the ground. TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a
basement or an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy
building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a mobile home, or in
a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter and protect
yourself from flying debris.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.

...THE TORNADO WARNING FOR CENTRAL GREENE...SOUTHWESTERN FAYETTE AND
NORTHWESTERN MONONGALIA COUNTIES WILL EXPIRE AT 815 PM EDT...
                
The storm which prompted the warning has weakened below severe
limits, and no longer appears capable of producing a tornado.
Therefore, the warning will be allowed to expire.  However gusty
winds and heavy rain are still possible with this thunderstorm.

To report severe weather, contact your nearest law enforcement
agency. They will relay your report to the National Weather Service
Pittsburgh.

.SYNOPSIS...
Shower and thunderstorm chance returns today and this evening
with a crossing cold front. Warm and dry weather is expected
Wednesday under high pressure.

&&

.NEAR TERM /THROUGH TONIGHT/...
Shower and thunderstorm chances are expected to increase
through the afternoon and evening as a shortwave trough, and its
associated sfc cold front, tracks ewd from the Midwest and
approaches/crosses the Upper Ohio Valley region. Marginal shear
and instability, and dry mid level air, could result in isolated
damaging wind potential especially for areas W of PIT where the
most favorable instability is progged. Will maintain a mention
of this potential in the Hazardous Weather Outlook as outlined
in the SPC day 1 convective outlook.

Showers/tstm chances should quickly diminish after FROPA, with
generally dry weather returning as sfc high pressure begins to
build in.

.SHORT TERM /TUESDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY NIGHT/...
Dry and seasonable weather is expected Tuesday and Tuesday night
as the sfc high builds under NW flow aloft. The high is expected
to track E of the area Wednesday, with continued dry but warmer
weather as wind shifts to the S.

.LONG TERM /THURSDAY THROUGH SUNDAY/...
A trough is progged to advance E out of the Midwest Thursday.
This trough is then expected to become stalled across the region
Friday through the weekend as it becomes blocked between a
strong upper high to the west, with another to the east. This
should result in mainly diurnally driven shower and thunderstorm
chances through the long term period. Temperatures are expected
to average above seasonable levels.

.AVIATION /18Z MONDAY THROUGH SATURDAY/...
Gradual improvement to VFR is expected with a mostly broken cu
deck likely ahead of a sfc trough.

SHRA/TSRA associated with the trough and passing upper shortwave
will increase late this aftn to early evening and favor
southeast OH, though some uncertainty remains in timing and
overall coverage. Moisture pooling aft convective dissipation
and ahead of the sfc cold front will promote MVFR/IFR conditions
development, especially east of Pittsburgh.

High pressure and diurnal mixing will return VFR conditions by
Tuesday aftn.

.Outlook...
Genl restrictions and rain are likely again with a Thursday
cdfnt.

At 603 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Cadiz, moving southeast at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Cadiz, Tiltonsville, Yorkville, Adena, Dillonvale, Mount Pleasant,
Rayland, New Athens, Harrisville, and Newell.

This includes Interstate 70 in Ohio between mile markers 221 and 222.

Charleroi, or 11 miles southeast of Gastonville, moving east at 25
mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail.

         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Monessen, California, Donora, Monongahela, Charleroi, Bentleyville,
Perryopolis, New Eagle, North Belle Vernon, Wickerham Manor-Fisher,
Baidland, and North Charleroi.
