...Strong thunderstorms will impact portions of Kings, Queens, and
Nassau Counties through 545 AM EDT...

At 453 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from Little Neck to Canarsie. Movement was northeast
at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Winds in excess of 40 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Strong thunderstorms will be near...
  Great Neck, Bayside, Whitestone and Little Neck around 500 AM.
  Port Washington, Manhasset and Sands Point around 505.
  Woodmere, Cedarhurst and Atlantic Beach around 510.
  Valley Stream, Long Beach, Glen Cove, Lynbrook, Elmont and
  Brookville around 515.
  Oceanside around 520.
  Freeport, Garden City, Syosset, Mineola, Oyster Bay, Hempstead and
  Baldwin around 525.
  Westbury around 530.
  Levittown and Hicksville around 540.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
