The Flood Warning continues for
  the Sheboygan River At Sheboygan.
* Until early Friday morning.
* At 3:00 AM CDT Sunday the stage was 8.6 feet.
* Flood stage is 8.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 8.9 feet 
  just after midnight tonight. It will then fall below flood stage 
  early Thursday afternoon.
* Impact...There is localized flooding of Esslingen Park in 
  Sheboygan and nearby lowlands.

The Flood Warning continues for
  the Sheboygan River At Sheboygan.
* Until tomorrow evening.
* At 9:00 AM CDT Sunday the stage was 8.4 feet.
* Flood stage is 8.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 8.5 feet 
  this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage tomorrow 
  morning.
* Impact...At 8.0 feet, Water nears a Road in Kiwanis Park in 
  Sheboygan. There is localized flooding of River Park in Sheboygan 
  Falls and Esslingen Park in Sheboygan.  Water covers docks and 
  piers in the Sheboygan area.

* Flood stage is 8.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river will rise to 4.3 feet just after midnight 
  tonight. It will then fall to 3.4 feet and begin rising again 
  early Wednesday morning. It will rise to 3.5 feet Thursday 
  morning. It will then fall again and remain below flood stage.

.SHORT TERM...
(Issued 321 PM CDT Sat Mar 19 2022)

Tonight and Sunday:

Light rain will continue to diminish through late afternoon across
southeast Wisconsin with gradual clearing from west to east
through the evening. A brief period of mid clouds may affect part
of the area overnight. Never the less, enough clearing along with
light boundary layer winds and residual low level moisture will
provide the recipe for at least patchy fog to develop across
southern WI later this evening and continue into Sunday morning.
The fog may become dense in spots and especially low areas. Once
the fog burns off Sunday morning, a nice day is expected with
light winds and sunshine. With 925H temperatures warming into the
4 to 8C range, daytime temperatures should climb into the 50s to
low 60s. A lake breeze will develop later in the morning putting a
halt to the temperature rise along the lakeshore. At this time,
thinking temperatures will reach the upper 40s to mid 50s along
the shore before the cooling sets in.

Sunday Night and Monday:

The protective high pressure ridge will move off to the east
Sunday night as a strengthening low level jet pulls deeper mid-
level moisture into the upper Midwest. This warm air advection
will contribute to an elevated warm frontal boundary forming over
central WI, while the surface warm front develops over northern
IL. The air parcels are expected to moisten enough over central WI
to possibly generate a few showers later Sunday night and again
on Monday. There is not enough elevated instability at this time
to introduce any thunder potential. The nearby surface warm front
is expected to edge into southern WI on Monday resulting in a
large temperature gradient across southern WI. Parts of south
central WI will climb into the mid to upper 60s, while onshore
winds will keep locations by Lake Michigan in the cooler mid 40s
to mid 50s.

.LONG TERM...
(Issued 321 PM CDT Sat Mar 19 2022)

Monday night through Saturday:

Starting Monday night an upper level trough will move out of the
southern Plains and head toward the Great Lakes Region. As the
surface low moves into Illinois Tuesday more widespread rain is
expected across southern Wisconsin. These widespread rain showers
are expected to continue across southern Wisconsin through
Wednesday, bringing some much needed rain to the area. With
persistent mid level moisture advection out of the straight out of
the Gulf Tuesday through Wednesday and pretty consistent
agreement among guidance the biggest uncertainties are centered
around precip type & amount and timing. As the upper level trough
moves overhead Tuesday night into Wednesday morning, rain showers
are expected to become heavy. There will also be a potential for
some rain/snow mix for areas north and west of Milwaukee at times.
Ever some light accumulating snowfall across central Wisconsin is
not out of the question. With there still being some disagreement
among guidance on the timing, some light rain and snow may
lingering into Wednesday Night. Will have to keep an eye on this
system moving forward to iron out some of the detail on starting
and ending times as well as the potential for rain/snow mix.

High pressure will briefly build in on the back side of this low
pressure system which should keep Friday and Saturday much quieter
and temperatures mild across southern Wisconsin.

Areas of lingering light rain and drizzle should continue to
diminish across southeast WI through late afternoon. Increasing
subsidence and drier air above the surface should result in
improving ceilings as well with VFR conditions returning. One
caveat however is that at least patchy fog should develop across
southern WI as the low level winds diminish overnight, with no
clear cut drying in the very low levels. Possible the fog may
become dense in spots and especially low areas. Will introduce fog
potential with 00Z Tafs.

Gusty north to northwest winds will continue to gradually diminish
tonight into Sunday morning as low pressure north of Lake Ontario
moves farther away through Quebec. Will allow Small Craft Advisory
north of Port Washington to expire at 21Z and trimmed end time of
southern zone SCA to 23Z.

An approaching high pressure ridge will pass across the area on
Sunday bringing lighter and more variable winds. The Winds will
turn to the southeast Sunday night and Monday as a warm front
strengthens over northern IL and pushes northward into southern
Lake Michigan. Strong low pressure expected to develop in the
southern Plains will eventually ride along the front and possibly
bring a period of gale force gusts to the Lake Michigan open
waters Tuesday night and Wednesday. A prolonged period of strong
onshore winds will kick up high waves that will likely affect the
nearshore waters during this period as well.
