Tonight and Sunday:
Low pressure over southwest Wisconsin this afternoon will lift
quickly to Lake Superior by early evening. Strong winds will
continue across southern Wisconsin into early evening as the low
moves by. The current timing of the wind headlines still looks
good. An area of rain will clip the southwest this afternoon,
with a few showers farther east.
Dry weather will return for this evening through Sunday. Skies
will clear out for a time this evening into tonight, with clouds
increasing again later tonight into Sunday as a shortwave moves
through. Winds will pick up a bit tomorrow morning, as the low
level jet moves overhead. High temps tomorrow will be cooler, but
still a few degrees above normal for the first week of November.

Sunday night through Saturday:
Another cold front will move through Sunday evening and overnight,
with temps back to near or even a little below normal on Monday as
high pressure builds overhead. The high will begin to shift
eastward on Tuesday, with temps warming back up a couple degrees.
Dry weather will likely persist on Wednesday under the influence
of the departing high. Temps will warm back into the 60s Wednesday
as stronger southerly low level flow develops between the high and
an approaching low.
Models are in decent agreement showing the low lifting from the
plains into southern Canada late in the week, but still differ
with the finer details of timing and placement of the low. In
general, it looks like the milder temps will continue Thursday
ahead of the low and cold front. The front will likely bring a
chance for showers at some point Thu afternoon into Thu night,
depending on the timing. Left thunder out for now given
uncertainty in the timing, but wouldn't be surprised if thunder
is eventually needed in the forecast, particularly if the front
comes through sooner.
Looks like a significant cool down late in the week behind the
cold front, with high temps possibly struggling to hit 40 Friday
and Saturday. Could see a few snowflakes late in the week as a
shortwave moves through, but this system currently looks like it
won't have enough moisture for much precip.

evening as low pressure moves through the area. Shower chances
will quickly wind down by evening as the front and low pull out
the region.
Clouds will decrease later today, bringing a return to VFR
conditions. Quieter weather is expected overnight into Sunday as
high pressure begins to build in from the west. Winds will become
lighter overnight into Sunday, but will remain breezy though
tomorrow. A period of low level wind shear is likely later this
evening into early Sunday morning as the low level jet ramps up
overhead.
