* IMPACTS...At 28.0 feet, In Tennessee, the settlement south of Cold
Creek Road down from Crawford Road is flooding. Crawford Road West
is flooding. The Reach-Coker Slough hunting camp is flooding along
Nix Road. Grammer Road is flooded at Jones Slough. Much of the
Lauderdale south bottom is underwater. Homesteads and camps on
Cash Road are cut-off. Sections of Crane Road are cut-off on
Island 35. In Arkansas, Mississippi County Road 903 north of
O'Donnell Bend is flooded in places.

grain barge loading at the terminal at Osceola. Backwater is
touching most of the levee just north of Osceola on north past
Mississippi County Arkansas Road 330 in the Barfield Point
vicinity. Mississippi County Arkansas Road 430 is flooded across
from Tellier Island. In Tennessee, Crutcher Lake Road is flooded
north of Cold Creek. The Mississippi River is over its banks
northeast of Open Lake. Backwater has reached Bee Lake.

flooding near Cold Creek. Cold Creek is going over its south bank
onto resort lots just east of Crutcher Lake Road. Water from the
Lower Forked Deer River is backing into Open Lake. Cold Creek is
now flowing south out of Open Lake. Jones Slough is about to back
north over Grammer Road. Adams Slough has flooded Sam Taylor Road.
Many sloughs are beginning to flood fields. Brandywine Camp begins
to go underwater.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 7:00 PM CDT Saturday the stage was 26.4 feet.
- Forecast...The river will continue a gradual fall through
early next week. It will fall below 24 feet late Monday

of Cocklebur Slough. Overbank flooding begins on low-lying farm
land along both banks of the Mississippi River and the Obion River
in northwest Tennessee. The Old Forked Deer river bed is beginning
to flood fields in the Hales Point Area south of Suggs Road. In
Arkansas, roads inside the levee south of Caruthersville, Missouri
are beginning to flood.

Showers and thunderstorms will move through the Mid South late tonight into Friday. Latest guidance suggests that a line of storms will move into the forecast area after midnight and will peak over the area around 3 AM through 7 AM. Most of the more robust storms should stay to the south of the area, but with the amount of forcing and kinematics around the area a few storms across north Mississippi could be strong or severe Friday morning. SPC maintains a portion of the forecast under a Slight Risk for Friday. That is more associated with an additional threat of strong to severe storms for Friday afternoon for the eastern portions of our forecast area as the main low lifts northeast. Latest Hi-res models are consistent with a few surface-based storms developing over west Tennessee late Friday afternoon into early evening, but this is not overly impressive. The much more widespread chance of thunderstorms comes from the early morning storms over the region. All modes of severe weather will be possible Friday. We will dry out over the weekend with cooler temperatures. High pressure moves in Sunday and Monday as we get back into the 70s. The next threat of storms looks to come next Tuesday. The main issue for the Mid South could be heavy rain and flooding with severe convection being secondary. Precipitable water values could be more than 200 percent of normal next week. Early QPF totals range from 3 to 5 inches across the area with isolated higher amounts. Will keep the HWO wording for now.
