Isolated showers and thunderstorms will be possible during the
afternoon and early evening hours. Some storms could produce
localized heavy rain and flash flooding. Gusty winds will also be
possible.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday.

Friday will be very similar to today with a slight increase in
shower and thunderstorm coverage. Moisture will increase through
the weekend and into next week with scattered to numerous shower
and thunderstorm coverage. Heavy rain and flash flooding will be a
threat on Saturday through at least Tuesday.

...A strong thunderstorm will impact portions of south central Grant,
western Luna and central Hidalgo Counties through 800 PM MDT...

At 729 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 5
miles north of Separ. This storm was nearly stationary.

HAZARD...Winds in excess of 40 mph and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Separ.

This includes Interstate 10 in New Mexico between mile markers 33 and
57.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
