...A strong thunderstorm will impact portions of south central
Jefferson, southwestern Lewis and northeastern Oswego Counties
through 1145 PM EDT...

At 1057 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Adams, or 9 miles northeast of Sandy Island Beach State Park, moving
east at 15 mph.

HAZARD...Winds in excess of 30 mph, pea size hail, and heavy rain.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
         possible. Heavy rains could cause localized flooding.

Locations impacted include...
Sandy Island Beach State Park, Adams, Redfield, Barnes Corners,
Southwick Beach State Park, Adams Center, Henderson, Rodman, Orwell,
Lorraine, Sandy Creek, Lacona, Mannsville, Ellisburg, Worth, Montario
Point, Smartville, East Rodman, Belleville and Salmon River
Reservoir.

This includes Interstate 81 between exits 37 and 42.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Heavy rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
