.DISCUSSION...
Zonal flow is in place aloft this afternoon with surface high
pressure just off the Carolina coast over the Atlantic. After a
fairly cool start to the day, temperatures have warmed up quickly
under sunny skies. Really no concerns through tonight with this
setup in place. As we head into the weekend, a developing storm
system will make its way into the southeast, with a cold front
approaching the region. This will lead to low-level winds veering
more to the southeast and south for Saturday, with increasing
humidity. As the front moves over the state, rain chances will
increase for our northern areas Saturday afternoon, continuing to
move southward through Saturday night and early Sunday. Some
thunderstorms will be possible later Saturday for the Nature Coast
region, but then the upper support pulls away and we are likely left
with a decaying line of showers moving into the rest of the area
early Sunday. High pressure builds back in next week before another
system looks to move through toward the end of the week.

.AVIATION...
VFR conditions are expected through the forecast period. East to
southeast winds tonight will become breezy out of the south to
southwest through Saturday.

.MARINE...
High pressure to our north will shift eastward through the weekend
as an area of low pressure and associated frontal boundary
approaches the region. This will bring a chance for showers and
thunderstorms as well as winds veering to the southwest and then
eventually west for Sunday. Wind speeds are expected to reach
advisory or exercise caution levels tonight through Saturday, with
improving conditions on Sunday.

.FIRE WEATHER...
High pressure over the region will move eastward through the weekend
as a front approaches from the northwest, bringing a chance for
showers and a few thunderstorms. Relative humidity values will
remain above critical levels with no fire weather concerns. No
significant fog is expected.
