The National Weather Service in Tallahassee has issued a

* Tornado Warning for...
  North central Walton County in the Panhandle of Florida...
  Northwestern Holmes County in the Panhandle of Florida...

* Until 700 AM CDT.
    
* At 634 AM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
  was located 8 miles northwest of De Funiak Springs, moving east at
  50 mph.

  HAZARD...Tornado and quarter size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

  IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
           shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. 
           Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree 
           damage is likely.

* This tornadic thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of
  north central Walton and northwestern Holmes Counties, including
  the following locations... Cluster Springs, Leonia, Sand Hill,
  Barker Store, Cerrogordo, Prosperity, Arrant Settlement, Liberty,
  Glendale and Union.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest
floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a
mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter
and protect yourself from flying debris.

This cluster of thunderstorms is capable of producing tornadoes and
widespread significant wind damage. Do not wait to see or hear the

CENTRAL WALTON AND NORTHWESTERN HOLMES COUNTIES...
    
At 645 AM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
was located 10 miles north of De Funiak Springs, moving east at 45
mph.

HAZARD...Tornado and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
         shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage 
         to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree damage is 
         likely.

Locations impacted include...
Leonia, Barker Store, Cerrogordo, Prosperity, Hickory Hill, Arrant
Settlement and Baker Settlement.

...THE TORNADO WARNING FOR NORTH CENTRAL WALTON AND NORTHWESTERN
HOLMES COUNTIES WILL EXPIRE AT 700 AM CDT...
    
The tornado threat has diminished and the Tornado Warning has been
cancelled. However, large hail and damaging winds remain likely and a
Severe Thunderstorm Warning remains in effect for the area.  However
gusty winds are still possible with this thunderstorm.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 800 AM CDT for the Panhandle
of Florida.

Remember, a Severe Thunderstorm Warning still remains in effect for
Walton and Holmes Counties until 730 AM.
