Scattered showers and a few thunderstorms are expected today, along and ahead of a weak cold front. While an isolated strong storm capable of producing locally gusty winds and brief heavy rainfall can not be ruled out, the threat for organized severe thunderstorms remains very low. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday... Showers and a few embedded thunderstorms will become widespread over the region Saturday morning along and behind the cold front, gradually diminishing from northwest to southeast during the day. However, no hazardous weather is expected. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Activation of emergency management personnel, amateur radio operators, and storm spotters should not be needed through tonight.

County, northwestern Caddo and northwestern Bossier Parishes through
330 PM CST...
At 248 PM CST, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Vivian, or 16 miles southeast of Atlanta, moving northeast at 30 mph.
HAZARD...Winds in excess of 40 mph and half inch hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible.
