...FREEZE WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 AM CST THIS MORNING...

* WHAT...Sub-freezing temperatures as low as 30.

* WHERE...Bossier Parish, Webster Parish, Lincoln Parish, 
  Bienville Parish, Jackson Parish, Ouachita Parish and Caldwell 
  Parish.

* WHEN...Until 9 AM CST this morning.

* IMPACTS...Frost and freeze conditions will kill crops, other 
  sensitive vegetation and possibly damage unprotected outdoor 
  plumbing.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold. To prevent
freezing and possible bursting of outdoor water pipes they should
be wrapped, drained, or allowed to drip slowly. Those that have
in-ground sprinkler systems should drain them and cover above-
ground pipes to protect them from freezing.

.AVIATION...
VFR conditions will continue through the 27/00Z TAF period. An
extensive cirrus shield over E TX/N LA will begin to expand back
NE across extreme NE TX/SE OK/SW AR this evening, with cigs
expected to gradually lower by mid to late morning Saturday over E
TX as AC cigs develop ahead of areas of -RA that will develop
over Cntrl TX. As the air mass begins to saturate from the top
down, these AC cigs will spread E into SW AR/N LA after 18Z, with
the cigs over E TX lowering to 4-7kft as the areas of -RA move
in/reach the sfc. Have inserted prevailing -RA mention for the
TYR/LFK terminals at 22Z, and GGG at 23Z, with the -RA expected to
affect the remainder of the region Saturday evening. Thus, cigs
will eventually become MVFR during the evening over E TX, and
possibly TXK/SHV by 06Z Sunday. Lt S winds over E TX/SW AR, and
calm winds elsewhere tonight, will become SSW 5-8kts after 15Z.

.SHORT TERM.../Tonight through Saturday Night/

The region remains under nwly flow aloft in the wake of the
Thanksgiving Day cold front/trof, even as a closed upper low
continues to be cut off over the Baja Peninsula. Baja low to begin
migrating ewd tonight bringing increasing mid/upper level moisture
towards our region. This will play out, at least overnight, in
increasing high clouds. Despite this fact, temps fcst to fall
into the 30s areawide, with frost possible across a large portion
of the region.

Low to continue ewd into W TX during Saturday, bringing enough
isentropic lift and moisture to saturate down to get shwrs across
our swrn areas by Saturday aftn. Despite the increasing cloud
cover/rain, temps will warm to either side of 60 degrees. Shwrs
will spread ewd/newd into the evening and overnight, as the trof
opens and picks up forward speed, with warmer overnight mins in
the low to mid 40s. /12/

.LONG TERM.../Sunday through Thursday night/

The long-term will begin with some lingering showers in our far SE
zones, as a closed low pushes through the region. Dry conditions are
expected to quickly settle back in for the long term once this
closed low leaves the area, as the region remains under the
influence of NW flow. While no rain is expected with it, a dry cold
front will push through the region Sunday evening in the wake of the
closed low. This will provide a reinforcing shot of cooler air to
start the work week. By Tuesday however, both overnight lows and
afternoon highs should begin to rebound to a seasonal feel for much
of the remaining work week. Our next chance for rain looks to come
next weekend, when another closed low will move into the region,
increasing the chance for showers.
