This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of the Missouri
Ozarks and extreme southeast Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

  Limited tornado risk.
  Limited hail risk.
  Limited thunderstorm wind damage risk.
  Limited lightning risk.
  Elevated non thunderstorm wind risk.

DISCUSSION...

Non thunderstorm sustained winds of 35 to 40 mph with gusts up to
55 mph will be common this evening over extreme southeast Kansas
and the Missouri Ozarks.

A line of strong to severe thunderstorms will move into southeast
Kansas and western Missouri this evening then shift eastward
across the Ozarks. The main threat will be from damaging wind
gusts in excess of 60 mph. Although the tornado risk is small, a
brief spin up is still possible, along with hail up to the size of
quarters.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday.

Additional thunderstorms are expected Friday into Friday night as
a warm front approaches from the south.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation may be needed this evening for southeast
Kansas and western into central Missouri.
