Synoptic and CAMS models are in better agreement today with the potential placement and coverage of afternoon storms. Isolated thunderstorms will be possible mainly along and just north of the Arkansas state line with the heating of the day along the southern periphery of the surface high. Some patchy fog may occur through this morning, especially where storms occurred yesterday. This may produce some limitations to visibilities but will burn off quickly after sunrise. With the surface high in place and the expectation for only scattered cloud cover, afternoon highs will climb into the low to middle 90s. Where storm develop however, temperatures may be slightly cooler thanks to the localized increased cloud cover and rainfall. The surface high will remain in place tonight with clear skies and light winds expected.
