The National Weather Service in Springfield has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Douglas County in southwestern Missouri...
  Northern Ozark County in southwestern Missouri...
  East Central Taney County in southwestern Missouri...

* Until 1215 AM CST Saturday.

* At 610 PM CST, Trained weather spotters reported flooding across 
  the warned area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. 
  Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the 
  warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin 
  shortly.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Trained spotters reported.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
           other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Ava, Wasola, Rockbridge, Noble, Squires, Brushyknob, Brixey and 
  Gentryville.

This includes the following low water crossings...
  North Fork River at County Road 278, Bryant Creek at County Road 
  223, Little North Fork River at County Road 916, Beaver Creek at 
  County Road 524 and Pond Fork at County Road 883.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Many flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the 
dangers of flooding.
