The National Weather Service in Springfield has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Southwestern Newton County in southwestern Missouri...

* Until 1030 AM CST Saturday.

* At 337 AM CST, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing 
  heavy rain across the warned area. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain 
  have fallen in the Little Lost Creek basin. Additional rainfall 
  amounts of 1 to 3 inches are possible in within the Little Lost 
  Creek basin and around the city of Seneca. Flash flooding is 
  ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

  HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms
           producing flash flooding.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
           urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Seneca

  Route CC at Lost Creek just south of Racine.

...FLASH FLOOD WARNING WILL EXPIRE AT 1030 AM CST THIS MORNING FOR 
SOUTHWESTERN NEWTON COUNTY...

The heavy rain has ended. Local emergency management officials 
report that Lost Creek in Seneca is back in its banks. However 
residual flooding of low lying areas will continue through the day. 
Please continue to heed remaining road closures.

A Flood Watch remains in effect until 600 PM CST Saturday for 
Portions of southeast Kansas. Portions of Missouri.
